Airlander offers a low emissions air mobility option that connects cities and regions without the need for the substantial infrastructure of traditional transport. From 2025 Airlander will transport up to 90 passengers on short haul journeys, with 90% fewer emissions.
A hybrid-electric configuration of Airlander 10 will produce just 9g of CO2 emissions per passenger per kilometre. According to UK Government calculations, that is an improvement over almost every type of transport currently available.
Airlander can access places without roads or runways and bypass saturated surface transport infrastructure, providing your customers with point-to-point travel in unpressurised comfort with less noise, more space, more windows and natural light.
Airlander can travel point-to-point allowing you to offer your customers a journey without unnecessary connections and waiting times. Airlander will provide new connections, whether that is connecting cities, connecting areas without traditional infrastructure, or connecting regions with geographies that make providing a transport network difficult.
The addition of Airlander to your assets will support a greener and better connected passenger transport network.
For passengers air travel can often mean waiting, crowded queues, and cramped flights. Airlander allows you to provide a wholly different passenger experience. Every aspect before, during, and after flight is more similar to a ferry than an aeroplane.
Airlander will typically operate from purpose-built terminals away from crowded airports, reducing the need for expensive airport slots. Airlander can operate from any flat surface, including water, making it an incredibly flexible aircraft.
On board, the aircraft is extremely quiet as the engines are far away from the passenger cabin. There is space in the cabin to offer new styles of seating, giving passengers the space to socialise, work, eat and drink, and relax quietly. Low vibration makes it a calm, more comfortable journey. The floor to ceiling windows mean natural light streams in and fresh air can be circulated via opening windows.
Airlander may travel more slowly than other aircraft, but it can land much closer to the end destination, reducing connection and waiting times significantly.
